For Zoe's Birthday party we invited some of her friends (aka Cory and my friends) and had a fun little afternoon. I decorated the house really cute with the help of Cory and our friend Dave who was visiting from PA with his wife Shawnee and their adorable little girl Taya. Unfortunately they couldn't stay for the big party..they had a plane to catch. It was great having them visit and really great having them help hang the streamers. Although the streamers were a bit hay wire so I had to get in there and fix them. It's part of my OCD-ness.
I found a really cute Birthday shirt on the internet and thought I could make it by Zoe's birthday. Well it turns out that if you leave it to the last night you don't have time...so my super excellent sister made it for me and it turned out AWESOME!
I made some cute cupcakes for the party and Zoe although timid at first really dug into the thing after I helped her have a taste. It was pretty funny watching her try to eat it after she had smashed it to bits!!
"Ohhh fire!!"
"I want the fire soooo bad!!!!"
She got some really great presents from our really great friends and luckily she had some excellent helpers to open most of the gifts for her. Zoe got to help open a few and she got to play with some really fun tissue paper.
It was a bunch of fun and we can't wait till next year when our funny little girl turns 2!
